Narrative:
A Evektor EV-97 Harmony LSA, N377YG, sustained substantial damage when it crashed short of runway 20L at John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA/KSNA), Santa Ana, California.
The two occupants received unspecified injuries.

Witnesses indicted that the airplane probably flew into wake turbulence and stalled at about 20 feet.
